Police have arrested Aziz-ur-Rehman and one of his sons from Mianwali for raping a student at a madrassa, and their second son from Kahna.
According to details, a case was registered against Aziz-ur-Rehman, his sons and unknown persons after a video of a student being abused in a Lahore madrassa came to light a few days ago, after which police arrested Aziz-ur-Rehman and his son Altaf-ur-Rehman. Arrested from Mianwali.
According to sources, after arresting Aziz-ur-Rehman and one of his sons, Lahore police arrested his other son Atiq-ur-Rehman from a madrassa in Kahna third son of Aziz-ur-Rehman, accused of raping a student at a madrassa in the epidemic capital Lahore, has also been arrested.
According to SSP CIA Shoaib Janbaz, Latif-ur-Rehman, the third son of Aziz-ur-Rehman, was arrested from Bedian Road. Earlier, two sons of Aziz-ur-Rehman, Atiq-ur-Rehman and Altaf-ur-Rehman, were arrested, he said.
The SSP CIA said that:
Altaf-ur-Rehman was arrested by Lakki Marwat and the main accused in the case, Mufti Aziz-ur-Rehman, was arrested by Mianwali police while the accused Atiq-ur-Rehman was arrested from a madrassa in Kahna.
He said that a case has been registered against Aziz-ur-Rehman and his sons by student Sabir Shah. Mufti Aziz had targeted Sabir Shah, whose video went viral on social media.
Shoaib Janbaz also said that:
Aziz’s sons are accused of threatening to kill plaintiff Sabir Shah, police are looking for his accomplice Abdullah named in the case and he will be arrested soon.
It should be noted that a few days ago, a video of Aziz-ur-Rehman abusing a student went viral on social media, in which Aziz-ur-Rehman, Deputy Amir of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Lahore, can be seen abusing his student.
After the video came to light, the student alleged that Aziz-ur-Rehman’s sons were blackmailing and threatening to kill him. If justice is not done, he will commit suicide. After the video came to light, the police chief registered a case against Mufti Aziz-ur-Rehman.
After the video went viral, Asadullah Farooq, the superintendent of a local madrassa in Lahore, said that Aziz-ur-Rehman had been expelled from the madrassa. Not responsible for the action.
On the other hand, the Secretary-General of JUI Lahore also issued a notice stating that after the video, JUI has also suspended Aziz’s membership and has been dismissed until the investigation is completed.
Aziz-ur-Rehman, accused of allegedly abusing a madrassa student, also made a statement in which he said that:
The video was two and a half years old and the student had been used against him. I did not do any such act in my senses, I was given something intoxicating, I was not conscious.
After the video went viral on social media, police arrived at the madrassa and launched an investigation.
Police said that student Sabir Shah is still missing. If Sabir Shah does not register a case, the police will take action in their complaint.
