According to the Daily Star, the 38-year-old man lost the key and failed to remove the lock from his limb and did not ask for help out of embarrassment.

He carried the lock with him in the same condition for 2 weeks, which caused an infection in his limb and it became very painful to lift the weight of the lock.
He was forced to go to the hospital, where doctors broke the lock and barely freed the man.
Doctors said the young man’s limb had become so swollen and damaged that he was now unlikely to recover completely, as many of the organ’s vessels had been damaged due to severe pressure.
