The subscription social media platform revolutionising the creator economy by facilitating more authentic connections between creators and their fans.

OnlyFans’ Global Authority of the Creator Economy by Offering Access to a numerous of Creator Content from Fitness, Cooking, Comedy, Music and More.

Subscription platform OnlyFans has launched a streaming platform and app designed to show it has more to offer than the personalized po**ography the brand has become (in)famous for.

OnlyFans Announces the Launch of OFTV, a New Streaming Platform and App:

OnlyFans pushes the SFW app on iOS and Android as it tries to shake the adult image. OnlyFans soft-launched the on-demand streaming service earlier this year to test out the market.

After the resoundingly positive response from the community. The on-demand streaming service already hosts over 800 videos authored by 100 OnlyFans creators, providing members with a new way to engage with creators such as Cheri Fit, Yoga with Taz, and Tennis Class with Adi.

OnlyFans to prohibit se*u*lly explicit content beginning in October:

OnlyFans, announced today the launch of its streaming platform and app OFTV. OFTV features free, original content by OnlyFans creators spanning a wide variety of genres including fitness, cooking, comedy, music, and more for their fans to enjoy wherever they may be via mobile devices and smart TVs.

Launching OFTV is a way for fans to view content from their favourite OnlyFans creators and discover new ones.

OnlyFans to Bar Se*u*lly Explicit Videos Starting in October:

Creators are able to share both short and long-form video content for their fans to watch from the convenience of their phones, tablets, and smart TVs.

It’s a unique way to experience content from the OnlyFans community and see who is on the platform. Current OFTV creator channels include Cheri Fit, Yoga with Taz, and Tennis Class with Adi.

“In order to ensure the long-term sustainability of our platform, and to continue to host an inclusive community of creators and fans, we must evolve our content guidelines,” OnlyFans said in a statement.

Creators on the platform will still be allowed to post nude images as long as they comply with the site’s acceptable use policy.

More information will be available in the coming days, the company added:

“OnlyFans remains committed to the highest levels of safety and content moderation of any social platform.”

OnlyFans claims more than 2 million creators, who it says have earned more than $5 billion on its platform and 130 million users. Last year, the site generated $2 billion in sales (of which OnlyFans receives a 20 percent cut).

How OnlyFans Changed Se* Work Forever:

Now OFTV will seek to shatter these preconceptions by offering a range of more wholesome content free of charge.

OnlyFans gives creators the opportunity to monetize the content they want to share.

Founded in 2016, OnlyFans has attained notoriety as a marketplace for the sale and purchase of original content, typically of a po**ography nature, which can only be accessed by paying customers.

OnlyFans has since paid out over $4.5 billion in creator earnings and has grown to count over 130 million registered users and 2 million content creators worldwide.

Tim Stokely, OnlyFans founder and chief executive, said:

“From the onset of launching OnlyFans, we have been a creator-first platform to give creators further autonomy and power over their content. We’re all about giving creators more opportunities to get their content out there and more ways for our community to access it.”

The company is seeking investors at a valuation of more than $1 billion but has had difficulty attracting investors, according to a report from Axios, mainly because of the rapid increase of p**n on the site (Axios notes the company didn’t mention po**ography at all in its pitch deck to investors).

What is OFTV:

The announcement of OFTV comes in conjunction with the season two premiere of OnlyFans’ original content series, Unlocked.

Featuring an all-new adventure format and new creators, OnlyFans has also premiered season two of Unlocked, a platform original hosted by Casey Boonstra, who interviews creators while they partake in a series of mini-adventures.

Viewers will receive a behind the scenes glimpse into each creator’s daily life and get to know them on a personal level, while also taking them on an adventure that’s totally new and unexpected.

OFTV is free to view and available as an app for mobile devices and watchable via smart TVs.

OFTV is available on Android, iOS, Apple TV, Roku, FireTV, Android TV, and Samsung Smart TVs. To learn more about OFTV, visit: https://of.tv/

OnlyFans’ inexplicable ban on p**n might be explained by this BBC investigation:

The company says it is making the changes because of pressure from its banking and payment provider partners, though a BBC investigation found that the company had been tolerant of creators who had posted illegal content.

However, according to the BBC, the site’s moderation hasn’t been up to that standard.

It reports that a “compliance manual” instructed employees to give users three strikes, even if the content that was being removed was illegal.

The BBC also reports that more successful accounts, which had a larger subscriber base, were handled by a separate team and given additional warnings when they broke the site’s rules.

Despite The Safer Environment OnlyFans Provide S3* Workers:

Despite its ability to draw eyeballs, and the safer environment it provides se* workers, online p**n is a hard sell for investors.

Recall that as Verizon prepared to sell Tumblr to Automattic, the blogging site permanently banned adult content in 2018, a highly controversial move at the time.

Along with the announcement about se*u*lly explicit content, OnlyFans published its first monthly transparency report for July on Thursday, “as part of our commitment to safety and transparency.”
